Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor workplace safety during installation of security systems (CCTV, access control, structured cabling).
• Conduct site safety inspections and ensure compliance with WSH regulations.
• Ensure workers follow safety procedures, risk assessments, and Safe Work Procedures.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings prior to work.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure Permit-to-Work requirements are followed where applicable.
• Maintain site safety documentation, inspection records, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with main contractors, project managers, and stakeholders on safety matters.
• Monitor work-at-height, ladder use, drilling, cabling, and related activities.
• Report unsafe practices, incidents, near misses, and recommend corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor workplace safety during the installation of security systems, including CCTV surveillance, access control systems, structured cabling, and related equipment.
• Conduct site safety inspections and ensure compliance with applicable Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Ensure workers comply with safety procedures, risk assessments, and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings before work commences.
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements where applicable.
• Maintain site safety documentation, inspection records, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with main contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders on site safety matters.
• Monitor work-at-height activities, ladder usage, drilling, cable installation, and other activities associated with security system installations.
• Report unsafe practices, incidents, and near misses, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Job Requirements

• Relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) qualifications recognised in Singapore.
• Previous experience in site safety supervision, preferably in security system installation, CCTV, electrical works, ELV systems, or structured cabling projects.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures, toolbox meetings, and safety documentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers, subcontractors, and project management teams.
• Responsible, observant, and proactive in identifying and addressing safety risks.
• Willing to travel between project sites as required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) qualification recognised by the relevant Singapore authorities, where required by the project.
• Experience working at commercial buildings, industrial facilities, construction sites, or government project sites.
• Knowledge of work-at-height safety requirements and Permit-to-Work procedures.
