Job summary

CAREERNEXUS PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Safety Officer (WSHO) to join our on-site team in Singapore. The role focuses on enforcing WSH compliance, leading safety inductions, and conducting risk assessments across civil construction sites.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health, 2-3 years of site safety experience, MOM WSHO registration, and strong communication with workers and management. Immediate availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of site safety experience in civil construction.
• Must be MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Good communication skills to work with workers, subcontractors and management.
• Immediate availability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas on site and carry out safety audits.
• Draft and update risk assessments, safe work procedures and method statements.
• Ensure site activities meet the WSH Act and MOM requirements.
• Lead toolbox meetings and safety inductions for new workers.
• Investigate accidents and near misses and track corrective actions.
• Supervise subcontractors on safety practices and keep WSH documents in order.
