Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is recruiting a Site Reliability Engineer (FX Production Support) for a global bank in Singapore. This 12-month contract role focuses on keeping the FX trading platform stable and rapidly restoring service when issues arise, working with global teams.

We are seeking 5+ years in production support or SRE within trading or financial services, with strong Linux/Unix, SQL, shell scripting, and Python/Java skills, plus hands-on monitoring experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production support, SRE, or DevOps in trading or financial services.
• Strong Linux/Unix, SQL, and shell scripting, plus Python or Java.
• Hands-on with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos, or OpenTelemetry.
• Good grasp of the trade lifecycle, with FX or other asset class knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production issues quickly, find the root cause, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Lead blameless post-mortems and ensure fixes are implemented.
• Monitor platform health and run daily/weekly system checks.
• Build automation to reduce manual work and operational risk.
• Support releases, patching, and disaster recovery drills.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts on new features.
• Coach junior team members.

The bank runs a trading platform used by its FX traders every day. This role keeps that platform stable, and gets it back up fast when something goes wrong.

This is an initial 12-month contract based in Singapore.

What you'll do

• Respond to production issues quickly, find the root cause, and keep stakeholders informed
• Lead blameless post-mortems and make sure the fixes get done
• Watch platform health and run the daily and weekly system checks
• Build automation that cuts manual work and operational risk
• Support releases, patching, and disaster recovery drills
• Work with developers, project managers, and business analysts on new features
• Help coach junior team members

What we're looking for
