You will drive automation and resilience, collaborate with developers, PMs, and analysts to deliver platform enhancements and enforce incident/change-management discipline across the production environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BE in STEM with strong problem-solving skills.
• 5+ years in Production Support, SRE or DevOps in trading/finance.
• Proficient Linux/Unix, SQL and scripting for automation.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and SDLC/Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain availability and stability of business-critical trading applications and infrastructure.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to maintain availability and stability of a mission-critical trading platform in a global financial services environment, driving automation and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain availability and stability of business-critical trading applications and infrastructure through proactive production support
• Investigate and resolve production incidents by performing root-cause analysis and conducting post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence
• Enhance application health monitoring and implement automation to reduce manual intervention and operational risk
• Execute Start-of-Day and Start-of-Week system checks and respond proactively to monitoring alerts
• Manage and optimize monitoring environments using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos, and OpenTelemetry tools
• Support application releases, infrastructure patching, and change-management activities to ensure smooth deployments
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity exercises to validate platform resilience
• Collaborate with developers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to deliver new functionality and platform enhancements
• Enforce adherence to incident, problem, and change-management processes to maintain operational discipline
• Identify and implement improvements to platform resilience, operational efficiency, and automation capabilities
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps within a trading or financial services environment
• Proficient hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, SQL databases, and shell scripting for system management and automation
• Programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to develop automation and support tools
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos, and/or OpenTelemetry
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes and Docker, and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle processes and trading systems within financial markets
• Understanding of FX products or other asset classes to support domain-specific platform requirements
• Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on automation and reducing operational risk
