The role supports a high-impact FX trading platform, ensuring availability, resilience, and automation across deployment and run-time processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Production Support/SRE within finance, strong Linux/SQL scripting, and hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Production Support, SRE or DevOps within trading/financial services.
• Strong Linux/Unix, SQL and shell scripting; proficient in Python or Java.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production incidents on the FX trading platform and resolve issues.

Singapore | 12-month contract (extendable)

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to join a small, high-impact team supporting its FX trading platform. You will keep a business-critical platform available and resilient, and you will have real scope to automate and improve how it is run.

What you'll do

• Respond rapidly to production incidents on the trading platform, resolve application and infrastructure issues, and keep stakeholders updated clearly
• Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems, driving follow-ups and automation that prevent repeat issues
• Maintain platform availability through start-of-week/day checks, alert handling, and oversight of key technology processes, including those tied to exchange obligations
• Build and enhance monitoring environments and automate manual work to reduce operational risk
• Implement application releases and oversee infrastructure patching schedules in line with change management policy (some out-of-hours work)
• Take part in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises
• Partner with developers, project managers and business analysts to deliver new functionality that is fault-tolerant and scalable
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to regional and global process improvement initiatives

What you'll bring

• 5+ years in Production Support, SRE or DevOps within a trading or financial services environment
• Strong Linux/Unix, SQL and shell scripting skills, plus programming in Python, Java or similar
• Solid experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos or OpenTelemetry
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of the trade lifecycle and trading systems; knowledge of FX or another asset class
• Working knowledge of Agile and the wider software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a STEM field
