Job summary

Woh Hup Group in Singapore is seeking an Architectural Foreman to assist the Site Agent in coordinating with sub-contractors and workers on architectural works, ensuring work aligns with specifications and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include checking drawings, liaising with subcontractors on methods and sequencing, monitoring progress and quality, maintaining housekeeping and safety, and coordinating manpower, materials, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in site supervision and coordination of building/civil works is required.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications and details is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check and study drawings before disseminating information to subcontractors and workers.
• Liaise with subcontractors on work methods and sequencing.
• Coordinate and monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with contract requirements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety provisions at site for subcontractors and workers.
• Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man-hours returns and coordinate in all site issues.
• Coordinate and monitor the delivery of materials/equipment to complete construction within schedule.
• Supervise subcontractors’ work and ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify potential problems affecting schedule and recommend solutions.
• Make fast decisions.

Job description

The Architectural Foreman is responsible for assisting the Site Agent/Site Manager in coordinating with sub-contractors and workers over site architectural works, ensuring work done is in accordance with specifications and quality requirements.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Check and study drawings before disseminating information to sub-cons and workers
• Liaise with respective sub-contractors on work methods and sequencing
• Coordinate and Monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with contract requirements
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety provision at site working area for sub-cons and workers to carry out tasks
• Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man-hours returns and coordinate in all aspects of site issues.
• Co-ordinate and monitor the availability and on time delivery of materials/equipment to complete the construction work within schedule
• Supervision of Subcontractor’s work and ensure work done in accordance with specification and quality requirements

Requirements

• Experience: 3 – 5 years of Building and/or civil engineering experience
