Job summary

PACT Builders Pte. Ltd. is looking for a Civil Site Engineer to support the Project Manager/Site Manager in delivering construction works on schedule and within budget.

You will supervise day-to-day site activities, monitor safety, quality and coordination with subcontractors, main contractor, consultants and clients. You will assist in planning, review drawings and specifications, raise technical queries, ensure work aligns with drawings, and participate in progress meetings to drive timely

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil engineering or related discipline recognized by PEB or BCA; Architecture recognized by BOA.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager/Site Manager and ensure site activities are executed per specifications, budget and schedule.
• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site works, safety and quality control.
• Monitor and coordinate site works, materials, plant & equipment with supervisors.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, Main Contractor, Consultants and Client for revisions to drawings and weekly progress reports.
• Assist in planning, programming and monitoring construction progress.
• Study tender/construction drawings, specs and contracts to understand project requirements.
• Check drawings and raise technical queries to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure structural and architectural works align with drawings.
• Attend client/consultant/sub-contractor meetings; plan short-term progress.

Education

Degree in Civil engineering or related discipline (PEBor/BOA recognition)

Job description

• To assist the Project Manager/ Site Manager and ensure that the site activities are executed in accordance with specifications budget and time schedules
• Supervise and coordinate day to day site works, safety and quality control
• Monitor & coordinate the site works, materials, plant & equipment with supervisors
• Coordinate with the Sub contractor / MainCon / Consultant / Client for whatever revision on drawings & in actual construction & submit weekly site works progress report.
• Assist in planning, programming and monitoring of construction works progress
• To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements
• Check drawings and raise technical queries to resolve the discrepancies in between drawings and as well as those arisen during the project execution
• To ensure structural work & architectural work done according to the drawing
• To carry out short-term planning to meet site progress and involve in client/consultant/sub-contractor meetings
• Manage and ensure timely completion of construction/ civil works
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimise environmental impact associated with the construction activities
• Take reasonable practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at the workplace
• Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site and quality records are properly maintained
• Undertake any other work duties as required by the Company

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil engineering or any related discipline recognized by PEBor BCA, Architecture recognised by BOA
• Additional certificates or licenses are an added advantage
• Have the ability to work under pressure
• Able to read and understand construction drawings from all trades (e.g. archi, C&S, M&E, etc)
• Good knowledge of common civil construction materials such as asphalt, reinforced concrete, steel etc. preferred
• Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects
• Willing to learn and challenging new things and multi-tasking
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
