Job summary

Tradesmen Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Site Engineer to supervise daily construction activities and ensure work aligns with drawings and specs. You will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers while monitoring progress and quality.

The role requires reading structural, architectural and engineering drawings, knowledge of QC/inspection procedures, and strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities. AutoCAD and BIM skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of site experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to read structural, architectural and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with construction materials, site measurements and procedures.
• Knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferably 2–5 years of relevant site experience in the construction industry.
• Candidates with experience in building, civil, structural, architectural or related construction works will be considered.
• Good understanding of construction methods, site coordination and engineering practices.
• Able to read and understand structural, architectural and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with construction materials, site measurements and construction procedures.
• Knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently as well as effectively within a project team.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced construction environment and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM and other engineering or construction software will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices, codes and authority requirements will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
