Site Civil Engineer – Project Coordination & Quality

Job summary

Gammon-India-Limited is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Project Manager in daily execution of works on large civil projects in Singapore. You will ensure compliance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, review drawings, and coordinate site activities with the operations team and contractors.

You will establish short-term works plans, track progress, manage material submissions and deliveries, and help maintain quality records to keep turnover and cost aligned with the master

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
• At least 3 years’ experience with extensive experience in large civil engineering projects.
• Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
• Strong business acumen with strong analytical skills.
• Strong negotiation and planning skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in the daily execution of work
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications
• Monitor, control and coordinate site works with the operations team as well as contractors
• Establish and implement controls to ensure that works are carried out safely according to the works programme and produce short-term works plans
• Check construction drawings and highlight discrepancies
• Ensure that all corrective action or preventive action is implemented effectively, and quality records are properly maintained
• Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost is in line with master construction program
• Ensure material submission and approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules
