Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Assistant to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end shipment activities, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting warehouse operations to facilitate smooth and timely dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipment Coordination & Processing

• Arrange and coordinate both local and international shipments.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, shipping lines, couriers, and transport providers.
• Schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipment timelines.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or delivery issues.

2. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and verify shipping documents including:
  • Bill of Lading (B/L)
  • Commercial Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Airway Bill (AWB)
  • Certificate of Origin
  • Import / Export permits
  • Customs declarations
• Ensure all documentation complies with customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and internal SOPs.

3. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

• Coordinate with warehouse teams on packing, labelling, inventory preparation, and stock dispatch planning.
• Verify shipment quantities and product specifications prior to dispatch.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Diploma / ITE holders are welcomed to apply.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with logistics or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Working Location: Clementi area.
