Job summary

STULZ SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot precision cooling systems used in data centres and mission-critical facilities.

You will service CRAH/CRAC units, replace compressors and valves, and verify performance while ensuring reliability and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical engineering background required.
• Experience in HVAC servicing or maintenance is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and control systems.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and precision cooling equipment.
• Experience replacing compressors, chilled water valves, EC fans, sensors and relays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CRAH, CRAC, and other precision cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Replace compressors including refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak testing, and performance verification.
• Replace chilled water control valves and actuators.
• Calibrate sensors, perform valve alignment, and test system performance after replacements.
• Inspect and service EC fans, air filters, sensors, and related components.
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors during maintenance and commissioning.
• Ensure safety procedures and customer requirements are followed.

Job Summary

Responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and technical support of HVAC and precision cooling equipment used in data centres, enterprise facilities, and other mission-critical environments. The role includes servicing chilled water units, DX units, and other precision cooling systems, replacing compressors, chilled water control valves, and associated components, while ensuring optimal cooling performance, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CRAH, CRAC, and other precision cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Replace compressors, including refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak pressure testing, and performance verification.
• Replace chilled water control valves, including Belimo Energy Valves, PICVs, motorized valves, and actuators.
• Perform valve alignment, calibration, functional testing, and flow verification after replacement.
• Inspect, service, and replace EC fans, air filters, sensors, pressure switches, actuators, and other mechanical and electrical components.
• Diagnose chilled water flow, temperature, pressure, and control-related issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Check and calibrate temperature, humidity, pressure, and airflow sensors.
• Troubleshoot HMI, controllers, and Building Management System (BMS) communications, including BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols.
• Carry out commissioning, functional testing, and performance verification following maintenance, repairs, or component replacement.
• Conduct vibration, current, voltage, insulation resistance, and operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors during maintenance, repair, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety procedures, customer requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in HVAC servicing or maintenance is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and control systems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and precision cooling equipment.
• Experience in replacing and repairing mechanical and electrical components, including compressors, chilled water (CW) control valves, EC fans, sensors, contactors, relays, and other HVAC components.
• Ability to carry out refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak detection, and system performance testing (where applicable).
• Familiarity with precision air conditioning systems (CRAC/CRAH units) or similar products is an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, piping schematics, and service manuals.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
