Job summary

NIVABIZ PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to support servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of refrigeration chillers.

The role works with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure equipment reliability and high-quality technical support. The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and assist with commissioning and health checks, with opportunities for overseas travel when required.

Qualifications

• ITE/NITEC or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, refrigeration or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in refrigeration or chiller servicing, HVAC, or related technical environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with chillers is advantageous.
• Ability to prepare service reports and use Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration chillers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration chiller faults and equipment issues.
• Carry out servicing, installation, retrofit, repair and replacement works.
• Perform commissioning, health checks, and equipment overhauls.
• Coordinate with customers and provide timely updates on repair progress and service schedules.
• Prepare accurate service reports covering maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Support development and implementation of service solutions for customers.
• Perform on-site service and maintenance locally and overseas when required.
• Carry out brazing and welding where required.
• Coordinate with contractors and other technical parties for smooth service execution.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

The Company is looking for a hands-on and technically competent Service Technician to support the servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of refrigeration chillers.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure equipment reliability, timely service delivery, and high-quality technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration chillers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration chiller faults and equipment issues.
• Carry out servicing, installation, retrofitting, repair, and replacement works.
• Perform machine commissioning, system health checks, and equipment overhauls.
• Coordinate with customers and provide timely updates on repair progress and service schedules.
• Prepare accurate service reports covering maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, health checks, and overhaul activities.
• Support the development and implementation of service solutions for existing customers.
• Perform on-site service and maintenance activities locally and overseas when required.
• Carry out or support hot work activities, including brazing and welding, where required.
• Coordinate with contractors and other technical parties to ensure smooth project and service execution.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Perform other technical and operational duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum ITE/NITEC or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in refrigeration, chiller servicing, HVAC, equipment maintenance, or a related technical environment.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing refrigeration or chiller systems will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of brazing and welding will be an advantage.
• Able to prepare service reports and use Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a hands-on and positive working attitude.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with customers, contractors, and team members.
• Willing to perform hands-on technical work in industrial environments.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with refrigeration chillers and cooling systems.
• Basic knowledge of technical drawings and 2D drawing tools.
• Ability to learn new equipment and technologies quickly.Good customer communication and service skills.
