Job Description

The Service Engineer provides on-site and off-site support to customers to resolve operational issues with equipment without disrupting their business. As a frontline representative, they interact with various stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, commission, and validate equipment during projects and repairs.
  2. Maintain accurate records for warranty and insurance purposes.
  3. Submit required documentation and reports promptly.
  4. Independently diagnose and repair equipment on-site or in the workshop.
  5. Provide immediate support to vessels and develop solutions for safe operation.
  6. Document inspections, maintenance, and service work.
  7. Report deficiencies in deliveries, quantities, or quality.
  8. Request, install, and anticipate necessary parts for repairs.
  9. Prepare technical reports for engineering, management, or sales.
  10. Review logs for open issues and prepare formal reports for customers.
  11. Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment.
  12. Keep workshop tools and equipment organized.
  13. Assess equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  14. Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals.
  15. Stay updated on new products and technologies through training.
  16. Develop skills in other specializations to become self-sufficient in repairs and service.
  17. Prioritize safety and follow regulations.
  18. Interact professionally with technical personnel and represent the company.
  19. Adhere to company guidelines for communication.
  20. Maintain valid travel documentation and certifications.
