Job summary

Socomec Group in Singapore seeks a Service Engineer to commission new products, service and troubleshoot installed systems, and train customers and distributors.

You will apply installation procedures on site, tailor UPS settings to the environment, and test to meet customer requirements while coordinating technicians on projects. You will maintain long-term relationships with customers and provide ongoing technical support and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Ability to analyze technical problems.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and power electronics.
• Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence.
• Commitment to safety and reporting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission on site following procedures.
• Customize UPS settings for customer environment.
• Test according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate technicians on projects when needed.
• Carry out preventive maintenance per SOCOMEC specs.
• Troubleshoot installed SOCOMEC equipment and diagnose issues.
• Provide feedback on recurrent problems.
• Run training sessions for customers and distributors.
• Maintain sustainable relationships with customers.
• Provide basic information on daily use of the machine to customers.
• Upskill distributors through training.

Purpose of the role

The Service Engineer is responsible for the commissioning of new products, servicing & troubleshooting of installed products and customer and distributor training.

Responsibilities

• Apply installation & commissioning procedures on site
• Customize settings of UPS installations according to its environment
• Test according to customer requirement
• May coordinate the work of technicians on certain projects
• Servicing: execute preventive maintenance operations according to SOCOMEC specifications (replacement of usable parts)
• Troubleshooting of all installed Socomec equipment: diagnostic of installations
• Detect and provide feed-back on recurrent problems
• Run training sessions
• Maintain a sustainable relationship with customers
• Provide basic information on daily use of the machine to customers
• Increase technical level of distributor through training

Requirements
