Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking a field service engineer to perform installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing of equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or marine systems, with excellent communication and customer-service skills, and willingness to travel locally or overseas when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2–5 years of hands-on field service experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing of equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out corrective repairs to restore systems to normal operation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities in accordance with service schedules and technical procedures.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and end users.
• Inspect equipment condition and recommend necessary repairs, replacement parts, or system improvements.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation following each service visit.
• Coordinate with internal technical, operations, and spare-parts teams to resolve service issues efficiently.
• Guide customers on proper equipment operation, routine maintenance practices, and basic troubleshooting procedures.
• Ensure all service activities comply with applicable safety requirements, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, sea trials, or field testing where required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in field service, equipment maintenance, marine engineering, mechanical/electrical systems, or a related technical environment.
• Candidates with relevant naval, maritime, or military engineering and maintenance experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong technical knowledge in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical, electrical, electronic, or marine equipment, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills, with the ability to work independently at customer sites and travel locally or overseas when required.
