TALENT-MERGE PTE. LTD. is seeking a field service engineer to perform servicing, installation, inspection, and testing for marine and technical equipment. You will document activity and assist with drawings and compliance paperwork onsite in Singapore.
The role requires an engineering diploma (ITE/Technical) and 2–3 years of related experience; strong troubleshooting, documentation, and a proactive approach to urgent technical issues are valued. Training is provided.
Perform servicing, repairs, installations, inspections, testing, commissioning, and sea trials for marine and technical equipment.
Verify completed work against applicable technical manuals, installation guidelines, and acceptance standards.
Maintain accurate project and service documentation in accordance with ISO-related procedures, including Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statements, and Permit to Work requirements.
Coordinate equipment, tools, materials, and other resources required for service and installation activities.
Work closely with customers to clarify site and installation needs, including cabling, welding, hot work, and related supporting activities.
Escalate additional customer or project requirements to the appropriate managers and engineers.
Support the preparation of technical drawings, designs, and documentation based on customer requirements.
Contribute to the development and improvement of field support processes across supported products.
Detect, document, and report product or service quality issues while ensuring proper handling of inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
Complete service reports, respond to technical inquiries, determine suitable equipment installation locations, and undertake other technical duties as assigned.
ITE or Diploma, preferably in Electronics, Communication, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2–3 years of relevant working experience preferred; candidates with less experience may also be considered if they possess the required technical foundation.
Technical knowledge or hands‑on experience in electronics, electrical, systems engineering, equipment servicing, installation, inspection, or related technical support work.
Experience within the marine industry, electronics/electrical manufacturing, or other service environments involving shift work, field support, or operational response is advantageous.
Strong willingness to learn, good troubleshooting and documentation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to urgent technical or operational situations; product‑specific knowledge can be developed through training.
