Job summary

Business Edge Personnel Services Pte Ltd is seeking a field service/installation technician in Singapore. The role involves production, service, repair, installation, FAT, field construction, plant commissioning, sea trials, and inspection of customer-supplied products.

The candidate should have an ITE or Diploma in Electronics/Communication/Electrical/Mechatronics with 2–3 years of experience, and may come from marine or service-related industries requiring 24-hour standby or shift work.

Qualifications

• ITE or Diploma in Electronics/Communication/Electrical/Mechatronics with 2–3 years of experience.
• Experience in marine or service-related fields with 24/7 standby or shift work is preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow installation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production, service, repair, installation, FAT, field construction, plant commissioning, sea trials and inspection of customer-supplied products.
• Maintain project documentation and comply with ISO docs such as Job Safety Analysis and Permit to Work.
• Coordinate requisition of key equipment and materials; liaise with customers on installation needs.
• Ensure work meets acceptance criteria per technical/installation manuals and assist in preparing design/drawings.
• Develop a complete field support process covering all products; identify and record quality issues.
• Operate and manage inspection, measuring, and test equipment as an equipment owner.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by Managers and Engineers.

Job description

• Carry out Production, Service, Repair, Installation, FAT, Field Construction, Plant Commissioning, Sea trials, and Inspection of Customer Supplied Product.
• Ability to maintain good project documentation and is familiar with ISO documentation requirements such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work Application requirements and procedures.
• Requisition Key equipment and materials.
• Liaise with customer on the installation requirements such as hot work, welding, carpentry work and running of cabling.
• Inform Managers of additional requirements from customer.
• Ensure that jobs are carried out to meet acceptance criteria as per technical / installation manual.
• Assist in preparing the design, drawing, and documents for Customer’s technical requirements.
• Assist in developing a complete field support process covering all products.
• Identify and record quality problem related to product or service.
• Carry out responsibility of equipment owner in the handling and usage of inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Managers and Engineers.

• ITE or Diploma preferably in Electronics / Communication / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering with 2-3 years of working experiences.
• Candidates from the broader marine industry or other service-related industry involving 24-hour standby, shift work, or operational support such as Electronics or Electrical Manufacturing sectors.
