Job summary

GACY MARINE SERVICE PTE. LTD. is seeking a field service engineer to perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of onboard equipment on vessels.

You will attend customer sites and provide technical guidance to crew while documenting work and ensuring compliance with marine standards. Travel domestically and internationally, support upgrades and retrofits, and collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in marine, offshore, industrial, or onboard service engineering.
• Experience with vessel or offshore equipment is highly advantageous.
• Experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of onboard equipment and systems.
• Attend vessels and customer sites to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct functional testing and verification after installation, maintenance, or repair work.
• Prepare service reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to vessel crew and customers.
• Identify equipment faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and service teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable marine standards.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and retrofit projects when required.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, spare parts, tools, and equipment used.
• Travel domestically and internationally for vessel attendance and customer support.
• Participate in on-call or emergency service duties when required.
