Job summary

SIA HUAT PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer in Singapore to provide technical support, installation, maintenance and repair services for our equipment and products. The role collaborates with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.

The successful candidate will travel to customer sites, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver high-quality service with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant servicing/maintenance/technical support preferred.
• Candidates with relevant experience but without the stated qualifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in hotels, restaurants, cafes, central kitchens, catering companies, and institutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, kitchen designers, and end users.
• Promote and sell commercial kitchen equipment including cooking, refrigeration, preparation, and warewashing systems.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
• Conduct product presentations and site visits.
• Coordinate with project, technical, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Provide after-sales support and maintain long-term client relationships.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and understand technical manuals, drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for installation, servicing and repair works.
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence would be an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Field-based role requiring travel to customer sites.
• May be required to work beyond normal working hours or attend to urgent service calls when necessary.
