Job summary

Outbox Plus in Singapore is seeking a dedicated cafe team member to support daily and weekly production according to the production schedule, and to prepare dishes according to recipes while ensuring correct temperatures and quality. You will maintain presentation, assist with reservations, and handle simple food and beverage service with accurate payments.

The role also covers opening/closing prep, customer engagement, suggestive selling, and general cafe duties, including cleanliness, stock

Responsibilities

• Assist team with daily and weekly production according to the production schedule.
• Preparing dishes according to recipes and ensuring food is cooked to the correct temperature and specifications.
• Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
• Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Taking reservations, serves customers by helping to take their orders and serve them.
• Makes and serves simple food and beverages products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Responsible for preparation work before opening and after closing.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Ensure customers have a great time throughout their dining experience
• Processes payments by totalling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
• Cashiering Duties (Process payments using cash registers and payment terminals).
• Alerts management of potential security issues.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Assists with the cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas.
• Other ad hoc Café-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
