Job summary

UNICRAFT ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a qualified Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to lead site safety and environmental compliance on our project.

You will develop and implement WSH policies per MOM WSH Act, manage risk, review procedures, and coordinate with authorities. The role requires 5 years in local construction and strong leadership. Local regulations knowledge essential.

Qualifications

• Registered WSH Officer with MOM (Singapore).
• Valid ECO certification recognized by NEA.
• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in local construction.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH Act and related codes of practice.
• Experience with ISO 45001/14001 is preferred.
• Proactive, analytical and strong leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Lead WSHO and ECO oversight for the project ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop and review WSH policies and programs per MOM WSH Act.
• Lead risk management including hazard identification and control measures.
• Review SWPs, method statements, and permit-to-work for high-risk activities.
• Monitor contractor compliance and conduct coordination meetings.
• Oversee environmental management and EMPs per NEA regulations.
• Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, drills, and training.
• Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain emergency response plans and liaise with MOM/NEA/BCA.
