Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Works Train operations or railway environment.
• Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or Railway-related).
• Knowledge of railway operations, track access, and work train activities.
• Strong understanding of railway safety requirements, procedures, and risk management.
• Experience in manpower planning, shift scheduling, and resource management.
• Ability to lead and supervise operations teams in a fast-paced project.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities for operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for work train operations and the project operations team, ensuring operational objectives are achieved effectively.
• Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation, including manpower deployment, shift planning, training, and operational requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise work train movements and track-access activities to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted project operations.
• Establish effective coordination with clients, contractors, site teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of operational activities.
• Ensure operational activities comply with approved operating procedures, work plans, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage operational risks and lead the response to incidents, including investigation, corrective measures, and recovery of operations.
• Monitor workforce attendance, discipline, competency, training, and performance to maintain operational readiness and productivity.
• Identify operational and manpower requirements and implement appropriate measures to improve efficiency and workforce utilisation.
• Review and oversee the preparation of operational, manpower, and management reports, providing timely updates and recommendations to project management.
