Job summary

GATES PCM CONSTRUCTION LTD in Singapore seeks a Railway Safety Coordinator to oversee the safe movement of engineering trains within designated work areas. The role emphasizes track protection, safety rule compliance, and clear site communication.

You will coordinate with train operators, shunters, and work crews, monitor procedures, and report incidents promptly. Shift work including nights and weekends may be required, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum NTC 2/3 or GCE O-Level or equivalent.
• Experience in railway operations or safety work is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the safe movement of engineering trains and railway vehicles within designated work areas.
• Implement and maintain track protection and worksite safety arrangements.
• Ensure operational signs, protection equipment and related resources are deployed and maintained.
• Support the Operations Controller in coordinating shunting and train movement activities.
• Liaise with Persons-in-Charge, work teams, train operators and shunters to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with operating procedures and site instructions.
• Identify and report incidents, equipment defects, unsafe conditions and other irregularities promptly.
• Maintain effective communication with site personnel and provide timely updates on train movements.
