Job summary

Hanwha Ocean EPU in Singapore seeks a Senior Architectural Engineer to lead architectural design for FPSO/FLNG topsides, ensuring code-compliance and integration with process and safety systems.

The role requires offshore/oil & gas architecture expertise, coordinating multi-discipline interfaces, and supporting procurement, fabrication, commissioning, and start-up activities while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering, or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years in offshore/onshore oil & gas.
• Minimum 5 continuous years at top-tier FPSO or offshore/onshore EPC contractors.
• Experience with classification society design approval (ABS, DNV, LR, BV).
• Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform architectural design and coordination for assigned work scopes.
• Prepare architectural design basis documents, philosophies, specifications, datasets and schedules.
• Develop and review architectural layouts including floors, elevations, ceilings, access & escape details.
• Attend meetings with clients, classification societies, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties; generate minutes.
• Coordinate interface of building layouts with equipment, passive fire protection, and vendor deliverables; ensure compliance.
• Support procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities; resolve technical queries.
• Participate in yard inspections, site visits, and verification of architectural installations.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and support O&M for safety and asset integrity.
