Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Vice President, Engineering Lead to drive design, development, and modernization of mission-critical Core Banking platforms at the DBS Asia Hub in Singapore.

The role combines deep technical expertise with engineering leadership across architecture, solution design, governance, and delivery, leading multiple squads and shaping technology decisions. You will own end-to-end delivery, oversee automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and modern software

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Core Banking or large-scale transaction processing systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams while actively involved in architecture and technical decisions.
• Exposure to Java/Spring Boot, Angular or React, Microservices & API Architecture, Event-Driven Systems, CI/CD and DevSecOps, Linux, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of large-scale Core Banking applications and services.
• Provide technical leadership for solution design, system architecture, API strategy, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and technical governance across delivery teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-assisted software development, to improve productivity and platform capabilities.
