Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd. seeks a senior data security governance leader to champion enterprise-wide standards across the data lifecycle. The role partners with risk and technology leaders to implement controls, address AI and real-time data needs, and drive governance excellence.

You will guide cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and cultivate a culture of security literacy and continuous improvement within a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in a field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or data science.
• Subject matter expertise in data security, CISO, Cybersecurity or risk management.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional data security initiatives from conception to implementation.
• Deep understanding of data security risks and controls across the data lifecycle.
• Experience implementing enterprise data security frameworks, controls, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of data regulations, risk management, and compliance obligations.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to drive mindset change towards data security and literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define, champion and oversee enterprise-wide data security governance standards and frameworks across the end-to-end data lifecycle.
• Ensure data security governance addresses agentic AI, real-time and unstructured data use.
• Drive communication and alignment on governance standards and outcomes at all levels.
• Partner with risk management and technology leadership to define and execute governance initiatives.
• Refine and improve governance frameworks to address emerging risks, DBS data and AI use cases, and regulatory changes.
• Engage stakeholders across business and technology to foster a strong data risk management mindset.
• Establish and embed data security risk controls to oversee governance implementations.
• Define, monitor and report on key risk indicators and governance outcomes.
• Lead and mentor a team of data security governance specialists; foster innovation and learning.
