Job summary

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) is recruiting a Technical Superintendent to monitor safe, cost-efficient operation of vessels and ensure environmental compliance. You will coordinate maintenance, budgets, and drydock activities while supporting ship visits and regulatory adherence.

You will liaise with clients and lead on technical requirements, training, and continual improvement initiatives in a dynamic maritime environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine or Naval Architecture.
• At least 3 years sailing as Senior Officer or 3 years shore experience as technical superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safe, cost-efficient technical operation of vessels within defined cost/operational parameters.
• Maintain environmental compliance and ship safety standards across fleets.
• Coordinate maintenance plans and drydock activities for assigned vessels.
• Engage with clients and ship operations to ensure performance targets.
• Develop budgets and monitor costs for each vessel.
• Coach and mentor crew to enhance technical skills and performance.
