Senior UX Designer — Regulatory Licensing (Public Sector)

Job summary

GovTech Singapore, as Singapore's lead public sector tech agency, drives digital transformation and the Smart Nation agenda. This role focuses on crafting UX for regulatory and licensing workflows within NEA, enabling streamlined, transparent processes for officers and citizens alike.

You will lead discovery with frontline staff, design complex multi-stage interfaces, and contribute to a reusable design system while collaborating with product, engineering, and policy stakeholders to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in UX or product design with proven shipping of high-quality digital products
• Experience designing complex workflows, forms, and internal tools in the B2B/enterprise space
• Ability to simplify complex processes and reduce cognitive load for users
• Strong user research capabilities to lead discovery with operational staff

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX design for internal officer workflows, including application review clarification requests, inspections, and case closure
• Design intuitive interfaces that streamline how officers process and manage applications
• Shape information architecture and interaction patterns for complex multi-stage regulatory workflows
• Plan and conduct discovery research with officers to uncover pain points, validate assumptions, and inform design decisions
• Create tooling support for reviewing complex technical documents under time pressure
• Design for transparency: dashboards and tracking capabilities that give managers real-time visibility
• Contribute to and evolve the design system, establishing reusable patterns
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and policy stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Guide and mentor other designers and apprentices
• Collaborate with other designers across NEA and shape UX standards and practices over time
