Job summary

KSLC PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced tunnelling supervisor to lead day-to-day TBM operations in Singapore, with a focus on EPB/Slurry methods, ring building, and segment erection.

You will monitor face pressure, thrust, torque and advance rate; ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and drawings; and coordinate with M&E teams, safety, and authorities. Diploma holder with 10 years of Singapore tunnelling experience is required, knowledge of local geology is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma as minimum qualification.
• At least 10 years in Singapore tunnelling projects.
• Hands-on TBM operations, ring building, segment erection, grouting, and underground works.
• Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards.
• Knowledge of Singapore geology and tunnelling implications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate TBM tunnelling operations (EPB/Slurry) and spoil management.
• Oversee ring building, segment erection, key selection, and tail-void / bi-component grouting.
• Monitor face pressure, thrust, torque, and advance rate; flag deviations promptly.
• Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and drawings; maintain survey control.
• Support cutterhead interventions, hyperbaric works, and maintenance planning with M&E team.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily progress and as-built documentation.
• Enforce MOM/LTA safety protocols and proactively address unsafe conditions.
• Liaise with main contractor, consultants, and authorities as directed by the Project Manager.

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day TBM tunnelling operations (EPB / Slurry), including excavation, soil conditioning, and spoil management.

Oversee ring building, segment erection, key selection, and tail-void / bi-component grouting to ensure they meet required tolerances.

Monitor TBM operating parameters such as face pressure, thrust, torque, and advance rate, as well as ground response, and flag any deviations promptly.

Ensure strict compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and approved drawings while maintaining quality and survey control.

Support cutterhead interventions, hyperbaric works, and maintenance planning in close coordination with the M&E team.

Maintain accurate site records, daily progress reports, and as-built documentation.

Enforce site safety protocols in accordance with MOM and LTA requirements, and proactively intervene regarding any unsafe conditions.

Liaise effectively with the main contractor, consultants, and authorities as directed by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum qualification of a Diploma.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of working experience in Singapore tunnelling projects.
• Demonstrate active, direct, and hands-on involvement in tunnelling activities during those projects, specifically in TBM operations, ring building, segment erection, grouting, and underground works.
• Be familiar with relevant regulatory and safety standards.
• Working knowledge of Singapore geology (such as Bukit Timah Granite, Jurong Formation, Marine Clay, and Old Alluvium) and its tunnelling implications is considered an advantage.
