Job Summary
The Senior Trust Officer manages a portfolio of international trusts and companies, delivering client-focused trust and corporate administration services while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for international clients to establish new Trust and corporate structures and administer existing ones effectively
- Conduct due diligence and accept new Trust business by reviewing establishment documents and drafting Trust Deeds and Letters of Wishes aligned with client objectives
- Perform due diligence and acceptance procedures for new client companies in Singapore and offshore jurisdictions
- Manage new Trust and corporate bank account applications to facilitate client operations
- Ensure ongoing administration complies with statutory requirements and all MAS regulations
- Assist the Manager in completing periodic client portfolio reviews based on risk ratings and company policies
- Oversee terminations, liquidations, and winding-up of Trust and corporate structures with accuracy and timeliness
- Issue timely invoices to clients and coordinate prompt collection of outstanding debts
- Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure timely completion of financial statements for trusts and companies under administration
- Maintain accurate trust and corporate records and internal files for audit and operational purposes
- Update and manage the Client Management Information System (IBIS) database related to Trusts and companies
- Supervise and provide on-the-job training and development for Officer and Junior Trust and Corporate staff members
- Support ad-hoc administrative tasks including in-house or regulatory projects as required
- Adapt to evolving duties and responsibilities as indicated by business needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Trust & Corporate Secretarial services
- Strong knowledge of Trust law and principles
- Working knowledge of Singapore corporate administration services is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with Singapore and offshore corporate law and best practices is beneficial
- Basic understanding of financial statements for trusts and companies
- Relevant professional qualifications in trust administration, STEP, banking, accounting, or law
