Job summary

TALENT-MERGE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Trade Finance Specialist to oversee LC, documentary collections, and related facilities for maritime operations.

You will ensure accuracy of shipping documents, coordinate lodgements, and manage risk with AML and sanctions controls. The role requires 5+ years in trade finance within the maritime sector, strong documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate across banking relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant trade finance experience in maritime industry.
• Strong knowledge of letters of credit, documentary collections, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit.
• Familiarity with AML and sanctions requirements, banking relationships, facility management.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee trade finance activities including letters of credit, documentary collections, bank guarantees, and standby letters of credit.
• Examine trade and shipping documents to verify accuracy and alignment with contractual and banking requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and lodgement of trade finance applications, amendments, drawdowns, and supporting documentation.
• Detect documentation discrepancies and transaction risks, working with relevant parties to resolve issues promptly.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process enhancements in trade finance.
