Job summary

National Heart Centre of Singapore Pte Ltd invites applications for a Senior / Therapy Assistant to support physiotherapists by preparing patients for treatment, assisting with transfers, and delivering simple exercise therapy and rehab.

Candidates should hold a Polytechnic diploma (or Advanced Diploma in Therapy Support/Physiotherapy) and the GCE O/N Level with WSQ Healthcare Support; vaccination evidence (MMR and Tdap) is required before work starts, with exceptions possible after offer.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a relevant discipline from a Polytechnic in Singapore/College of Allied Health Advanced Diploma in Therapy Support/Physiotherapy
• GCE ‘O’/’N’ Level /WSQ Cert in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support)
• Prior experience in a similar position or healthcare setting will be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

You will assist the physiotherapists in preparing patients for treatment, including helping patients move as needed and conducting simple exercise therapy and rehabilitation. You will also help with inventory control, maintenance of physiotherapy equipment, and general administrative duties.

Requirements

• Diploma from a relevant discipline from a Polytechnic in Singapore/College of Allied Health Advanced Diploma in Therapy Support/Physiotherapy
• GCE ‘O’/’N’ Level /WSQ Cert in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support)
• Prior experience in a similar position or healthcare setting will be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Documented proof of:
• MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
