Job summary

National Heart Centre of Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Care Support Associate (Inpatient) to assist healthcare professionals with bedside care and routine tasks. The role involves helping patients with daily activities, monitoring vitals, and performing basic checks such as capillary glucose.

The position also includes administrative duties, coordinating ward communications, and aiding discharge planning and appointment scheduling to support smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O/N Level or NITEC; WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support would be an advantage.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements for healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Support healthcare professionals in clinical and bedside duties.
• Assist patients with day-to-day activities and monitor vital signs (e.g., heart rate, respiration, blood pressure).
• Perform capillary blood glucose checks and basic patient monitoring.

You will support healthcare professionals in various clinical and bedside duties. These include assisting patients with day-to-day activities, taking their vital signs such as heart rate, respiration and blood pressure, and performing capillary blood glucose checks. You will also help with administrative duties such as managing and coordinating calls between wards and next-of-kins, as well as facilitating discharges and arranging appointments for patients.

Job requirements:

• Minimum GCE N / O Level or NITEC / Higher NITEC. WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) would be an advantage.
• A good team player
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Documented proof of:
  • Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
  • Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.Applicants without these vaccinations are welcome to apply if they undertake to complete the vaccination(s) before work commencement upon successful interview and are offered employment.
