Job summary

Vanguard Healthcare Pte Ltd invites applications for Clinical Care roles at Vanguard Care Home locations in Tampines, Hougang and Senja. You will support therapists by carrying out assigned activities of daily living, mobility routines and cognitive exercises with residents.

Other duties include educating residents on equipment use, ensuring safety and infection control, preparing equipment, and updating progress to therapists.

Qualifications

• WSQ Higher Certificate in Therapy Support / Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science.
• NITEC in Community Care and Social Service.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is preferred.
• Candidates without experience but with the relevant certification will be considered.
• Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidate must complete the COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing activities of daily living, mobility and cognitive exercises under supervision.
• Educate residents on proper use of equipment and exercise routines prescribed by Therapists.
• Adhere to safety measures and infection control procedures.
• Prepare apparatus, equipment and mobility aids as instructed by Therapists.
• Update residents' progress promptly to Therapists.
• Porter residents for therapy/group activities.
• Maintain updated documentation of treatment records/case notes (e.g. NHelp).
• Ensure regular maintenance check of therapy equipment.
• Keep rehab equipment clean and safe after use.
• Inform supervisor when stock supplies are low.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Rehab Manager.

Job description

We have positions at multiple locations.

Location: Vanguard Care Home @ Tampines / Hougang / Senja

Clinical Care

• Work under the supervision of Senior / Physiotherapists and Senior / Occupational Therapists to assist in implementing individual and group activities such as activities of daily living, ranging exercises, mobilization, and cognitive activities.

• Educate residents / clients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines as prescribed by the Therapists.

• Adhere to all safety measures and infection control procedures.

• Prepare apparatus / equipment / mobility aids according to procedures and protocols as instructed by the Therapists.

• Update residents’ / clients’ progress promptly to the Therapists.

• Portering of residents for therapy / group activities.

Administration

• Maintain updated documentation of all treatment records/case notes of residents e.g. file residents’ records, departmental circulars, forms and update daily in NHelp.

• Ensure regular maintenance check of therapy equipment.

• Ensure cleanliness and maintain safe work environment (e.g. keeping rehab equipment after use).

• Inform supervisor when stock supplies are low.

• Perform other administrative duties or other duties as assigned by the Rehab Manager.
