Job summary

National Heart Centre Singapore is seeking a healthcare support assistant to assist physiotherapists in preparing patients for treatment and aiding movement as required. You will also help with simple exercise therapy and rehabilitation under supervision.

The role includes inventory control, maintenance of physiotherapy equipment, and general administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations. Prior healthcare exposure and good communication skills are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or advanced diploma in therapy support/physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Experience in healthcare settings is an advantage.
• Vaccination proof: MMR and Tdap within the last 10 years or willingness to obtain before start.

Job description

You will assist physiotherapists in preparing patients for treatment, including helping patients move as needed and conducting simple exercise therapy and rehabilitation. You will also help with inventory control, maintenance of physiotherapy equipment and general administrative duties.

Requirements

• Diploma from a relevant discipline from a Polytechnic in Singapore/College of Allied Health Advanced Diploma in Therapy Support/Physiotherapy
• GCE ‘O’/’N’ Level /WSQ Cert in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support)
• Prior experience in a similar position or healthcare setting will be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Documented proof of:
  • (i) MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
  • (ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
