Job summary

British Club in Singapore seeks a proactive Maintenance Technician to uphold our facilities across buildings, plant and equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to requests, and coordinate repairs with external contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

With 3–5 years of relevant experience and a formal NITEC or Higher NITEC qualification, you will troubleshoot a range of systems (electrical, plumbing, ACMV) and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, ACMV and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently with practical problem-solving.
  • Reliable, service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of Club buildings, facilities, plant and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues to minimise disruptions.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation works across electrical, plumbing, ACMV, carpentry and painting.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities are safe and well-maintained.
  • Diagnose faults and coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs.
  • Monitor contractors to ensure safety and Club standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work reports and asset data.
  • Support setup, dismantling and maintenance for Club events.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety & Health regulations and maintain good housekeeping.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the Club's buildings, facilities, plant and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimise operational disruptions.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation works involving electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure all facilities are safe, operational and maintained to a high standard.
  • Diagnose faults and coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and servicing.
  • Monitor contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with the Club's standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work reports and asset information.
  • Support the setup, dismantling and maintenance requirements for Club events and functions.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and always maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Participate in emergency response and perform after-hours maintenance when required.
Requirements
  • NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' of relevant experience in building, hotel, clubhouse or facilities maintenance is preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning (ACMV), mechanical systems and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and resolve maintenance issues independently with good practical problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible, reliable and service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
