Job summary

The Singapore Resort & Spa is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, and repair hotel facilities, equipment and utilities. You will work under the Team Leader to ensure efficient service, safety compliance, and minimal interruptions to guest operations.

The role requires a Trade Certificate preference and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong English reading and spoken skills.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to those with Trade Certificate
• Minimum 1 year of relevant hands on experience in area of expertise
• Good reading and oral proficiency in English language

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance programs for hotel systems (air-conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, LV, plumbing)
• Maintain and repair building facilities, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Communicate with engineering management on improvements to increase efficiency and inform of disruptions to service
• Adhere to safe work practices and preventative maintenance procedures
• Attend trainings and meetings as assigned by management
• Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene and perform other duties as required

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Team Leader, this position is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the physical structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings of the hotel facilities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance programs for the various systems such as (not limited to) the following :


• Air-conditioning & electrical, refrigeration, FLS equipment, building maintenance including furniture & fixtures, painting, parts renewal & repairs, kitchen and laundry equipment, low voltage (LV), guest rooms, F& B outlets, function/banquet areas, front/back of the house, plumbing & drainage


• Communicate with engineering management and team leader with regards to possible improvements to increase efficiency


• Co-ordinate and inform engineering management and team leader of any disruptions to service of any kind


• Implement safe work practices, efficient methods, proper preventative maintenance and repair


• Develop skills through training and hands on experience


• Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times


• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures


• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management


• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times


• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel

REQUIREMENTS
