Job summary

The British Club is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Singapore to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, facilities, and equipment. You will respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, and support events with setup and dismantling tasks.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, strong knowledge of electrical/plumbing/ACMV systems, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Shifts include weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in building, hotel, clubhouse or facilities maintenance
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, ACMV and general maintenance
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the Club's buildings, facilities, plant and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues to minimise operational disruptions.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation works involving electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities are safe, operational and maintained to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and servicing.
• Monitor contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with the Club's standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work reports and asset information.
• Support the setup, dismantling and maintenance requirements for Club events and functions.
• Comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and always maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Participate in emergency response and perform after-hours maintenance when required.

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years' of relevant experience in building, hotel, clubhouse or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning (ACMV), mechanical systems and general building maintenance.
• Ability to trouble shoot and resolve maintenance issues independently with good practical problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, reliable and service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
