Job summary

The British Club in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across the Club's buildings, facilities, plant and equipment. You will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues and coordinate with external contractors when needed.

You should have a NITEC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Building Services, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and be capable of working independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant facilities maintenance experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, ACMV, and general building systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
• Responsible, reliable and service-oriented with good communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the Club's buildings, facilities, plant and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimise operational disruptions.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation works involving electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure all facilities are safe, operational and maintained to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and servicing.
• Monitor contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with the Club's standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work reports and asset information.
• Support the setup, dismantling and maintenance requirements for Club events and functions.
• Comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and always maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Participate in emergency response and perform after-hours maintenance when required.

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in building, hotel, clubhouse or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning (ACMV), mechanical systems and general building maintenance.
• Ability to trouble shoot and resolve maintenance issues independently with good practical problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, reliable and service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
