Job summary

Siemens Mobility Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and execution of traction power systems for electrification projects. You will manage design deliverables, coordinate with client and consultants, and ensure timely submissions.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years MRT electrification experience, with strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, controls, and protections.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years experience in MRT electrification projects.
• Experience with AC/DC electrification systems, including controls and protections.
• Knowledge of local transportation operators and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities for electrification projects including deliverable completion and client meetings.
• Coordinate with external consultants and vendors for submissions.
• Prepare and review schematics, technical specifications, GA/SLD.
• Coordinate with offshore design teams and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Support design and project teams with inputs and value-added engineering.
• Provide system engineering support for tenders and bids.

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented

• Responsible for engineering, design activities for electrification projects i.e. design deliverable completion, clarification meetings with client, follow up with external consultants on submissions, vendors.
• Package lead with overall responsibility for the design and execution of electrical packages for traction power systems 66KV,22KV,750VDC,1500V DC Switchgear, DC Trackside equipment, Traction Transformers, Traction Power Converters, Auxiliary systems, SMS, IFIS, VLD, Cable list, BOQ estimation.
• Preparation and review of schematic drawings, Technical Specifications, G.A and SLD.
• Co-ordinate with Siemens offshore team on design finalization and co-ordinate on-time submission of the project deliveries.
• Support and provide required inputs for design and project teams.
• Develop conceptual engineering ,propose and implement Value addition engineering for the projects.
• System Engineering support for the tender / bids.
• Work closely with Siemens AG design teams and engineering on the customer requirement, coordinate design verification and submission to customer.
• Work closely with Project teams, Interfacing, T&C teams including coordinate with various interface partner.

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Has acquired strong foundation as an Electrical Engineer in traction power systems with local project experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience in the electrification projects for MRT projects.
• Good experience in AC & DC Electrification systems including Control and Protections.
• Good experience in handling medium to high complexity of solution projects.
• Well verse of Local transportation operators and legal requirement.
• Adaptable to different working environments and customer working terms and conditions.
• Strong and effective communicator at all levels within the Business – and in front of new and existing customers.
