Job summary

Siemens Mobility Pte Ltd is seeking a Lead Automation & Software Engineer to drive control architecture, design, testing, and commissioning for rail electrification projects. You will work hands-on with Station RTU, PLCs, SCADA, and CMS, implementing cybersecurity measures and collaborating with Siemens teams to meet customer specifications.

The role demands deep Siemens PLC/SCADA expertise, STEP7 and TIA Portal skills, and strong analytical communication abilities within an international

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering; 10+ years in automation.
• Experience in electrification projects for MRT is advantageous.
• Cybersecurity, system architectures and industrial security experience is a plus.
• Experience with Siemens PLC, SCADA and HMI tech.
• Proficiency with Siemens PLC S7-400, ET200SP, STEP7 and TIA Portal.
• Experience with S7-1500 and STEP7 software.
• Independent, self-motivated with good initiative, analytical and communicative.
• Testing and commissioning of PLC systems; interface with traction power equipment.
• Strong PLC software development competency.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, MODBUS RTU, PROFIBUS, PROFINET.

Responsibilities

• Detail communication and control architecture design for railway power supply projects.
• Hands-on work with Station RTU, PLCs, SCADA, CMS and cyber security implementations.
• Lead automation engineering and design activities for electrification projects; deliverables and client/vendor coordination.
• Provide system engineering support for tenders/bids.
• Coordinate with Siemens AG design teams and customers on requirements and submissions.
• Coordinate with project interfaces and maintain client/vendor contact.

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented

• Responsible for railway power supply projects detail communication, control architecture design, prototype, Integration tests, commissioning and testing of completed systems.
• Hands-on working knowledge on Station RTU, PLC’s, SCADA, CMS and Cyber Security implementation in the systems for industrial and electrification projects.
• Responsible for leading Automation Engineering, design activities for electrification projects i.e. design deliverable completion, clarification meetings with clients follow up with external consultants on submissions, vendors.
• System Engineering support for the tender / bids.
• Work closely with Siemens AG design teams and engineering on the customer requirement, coordinate design verification and submission to customer.
• Liaise with Customer and internal team members to ensure good co-ordination, planning and meeting project scheduley.
• Work closely with Project teams, Interfacing, T&C teams including coordinate with various interface partner.
• Maintain close contact with clients and vendors.

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years relevant experience in automation, PLC, SCADA systems preferred experience with electrification / railway projects.
• Experience in the electrification projects for MRT projects will be advantageous.
• Experience in Cybersecurity, system Architectures, Industrial Security is added advantage.
• Experience in Siemens PLC, SCADA and HMI technology
• Experience in PLC SIEMENS S7-/400, ET200SP, SIMATIC STEP7, and TIA software is a must.
• Experience in PLC SIEMENS S7-1500 SIMATIC TIA-Portal STEP7 software is a must.
• Experience in 3rd party PLC, SCADA and software is advantageous.
• Independent and self-motivated with good initiative, analytical and communication skills.
• Testing & Commissioning of PLC systems, Interface with AC, DC Switchgear and other Traction power station equipment.
• Able to work under minimum supervision
• Strong competency for PLC software development
• Knowledge and experience in network technologies is preferred (Ethernet, TCP/IP, MODBUS RTU, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, etc.)
