Job summary

Siemens Mobility Pte Ltd in Singapore invites undergraduates for an internship within Railway Electrification on a Mass Transit System project. You will assist in design, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning of Power Supply and Control Equipment for rail operations.

You will support the Project Manager in QSC, integrate into the PM team, perform basic system design work, assist with configuration management, and help monitor schedules, costs and KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multi-cultural team.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration and change management activities with assistance from Engineering team.
• Maintain and update configurations for various ongoing Power Supply System.
• Monitor high-level schedule of all projects with key milestones and dashboards.
• Maintain close relationships with project teams to understand project stages.
• Monitor installation works with subcontractors and KPI-based progress.
• Familiarize with project financials: costs, revenue, cashflow/invoicing, with Commercial PMs.

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented

To participate in a Railway Electrification project for a Mass Transit System in Singapore. The project scope includes the design, manufacturing, delivery, installation and placing in operation the Power Supply and Control Equipment required to operate a public transportation system. Power supply equipment for 22kV distribution level, 1500VDC / 750VDC traction power system as well as low voltage systems are included in the scope of delivery.

Assist the Project Manager on supervising the Delivery of the Project Portfolio in terms of QSC (Quality/Schedule/Costs):

• Support on Project Manager activities
• Integrate into the Project Management team
• Carry out basic system design works
• Support configuration and change management activities with assistance from Engineering team
• Maintain and update list of configurations for various ongoing Power Supply System
• Monitor high level schedule of all the projects with key milestones: dashboard
• Close relationship with project teams for better understanding of the different stages of the projects
• Monitor performance of installation works with our subcontractors
• Monitor weekly the Overall Progress of the Projects: KPIs performance
• Familiarize with the financials of the Projects: costs, revenue, cashflow/invoicing to customer, working closely with the Commercial PMs.

• Undertaking a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Able to work independently and a good team player who can work well in a multi-cultural environment.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office application.
