Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Project Engineer to support the turnkey Platform Screen Door (PSD) installations for railway projects in Singapore. You will manage site activities, liaise with contractors and clients, and ensure works meet contract requirements and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years in project management or railway projects, with PSD experience preferred. You will coordinate across teams, review designs, and participate in site inspections and testing, including

• Minimum 2 years in project management, engineering or railway projects.
• PSD system installation experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel overseas and work night shifts.
• Strong coordination and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PSD Manager in turnkey PSD project delivery on railway projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients and stakeholders to ensure on-site activities.
• Ensure PSD subcontractor completes all works per contract requirements and tests.
• Monitor schedules, site readiness, safety and QA for PSD installations.
• Review drawings, respond to client comments, and address engineering changes.
• Attend site meetings and prepare/submission of project documentation.
• Follow up on Defect Liability Period (DLP) matters and rectifications.

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented

• Assist the PSD Manager in the turnkey project of Platform Screen Door (PSD) system for railway projects by managing and monitoring the project deliverables and site works.
• Liaise with contractors, clients and stakeholders to ensure site work activities are executed accordingly and respectively.
• Ensure the PSD subcontractor completes all stipulated works as per the contact requirements and specifications. and follow up with them to resolve any site and technical issue relating to PSD system installation and testing & commissioning.
• Monitor the PSD project schedules and site readiness & progress to ensure the activities are carried out in timely manner and it's being conducted safely whilst ensuring quality assurance.
• Review system related documentation and scheme drawings and verify that the client/stakeholder comments and queries are updated & addressed accordingly along with analyzing and conducting self-assessment on the engineering proposals and system changes or upgrades to the PSD systems.
• Attend regular coordination, safety committee and site meetings with civil contractors, system wide contractors, clients and other project stakeholders to address any arising matters.
• Attend and witness to relevant site activities by subcontractor or other contractors and review field reports and conduct joint inspections with client and subcontractors for site activities.
• Administer and submit relevant project documents including drawings, work procedures and corresponding reports.
• Follow up on Defect Liability Period (DLP) matters and attending to rectifications works after completing each phase of the project.

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Railway Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experiences in project management, engineering or railway projects will be considered, experience in PSD system & installation is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, able to demonstrate coordination capability.
• Prepared to attend construction site works and inspections & testing.
• Team player who is proactive, analytical and well organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to comprehend AI operating systems/platforms.
• Able to work night shifts on assigned basis and travel overseas when required.
