Job summary

Zenith Infotech (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to oversee the operations and security of a public-facing digital platform hosted on MCC Cloud. You will coordinate upgrades, monitor compliance, and manage incidents and changes within defined SLAs.

The role requires 3+ years in IT, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders. Onsite in Central West Region with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS, CE or related field preferred.
• Experience in IT operations, maintenance, or system administration is a plus.
• Experience in IT audit is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.

Project Overview

Theproject involves the operations and maintenance of an Internet-facing,public-facing digital platform hosted on Commercial Cloud (MCC). The platformserves as a key service delivery touchpoint, leveraging digital technologies toprovide users with greater convenience and flexibility in accessing digitalservices, transacting, engaging, and learning.

Job Responsibilities

1. Operations and System Maintenance

• Ensure the smooth operation, availability, and stability of existing systems under the project.
• Support the successful implementation, deployment, and integration of software and hardware upgrades.
• Liaise and coordinate with Authority-appointed teams, contractors, service providers, third parties, and other stakeholders to deliver project activities.
• Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, security requirements, and directives.
• Maintain system configurations, technical documentation, and development records in accordance with the Authority’s quality standards.
• Manage the remediation, replacement, retirement, and disposal of obsolete system components.
• Provide regular project status reports and updates on operational activities, risks, and outstanding issues.
• Support technical experimentation, research, testing, and evaluation activities.

2. IT Security, Audit and Compliance

• Perform IT system compliance activities, including log reviews, account and access rights reviews, and compliance report assessments.
• Support the Authority in conducting system audits and addressing audit findings.
• Coordinate Vulnerability Assessment (VA) activities and work with appointed contractors to remediate identified vulnerabilities and security issues.
• Monitor remediation progress to ensure timely closure of security findings and compliance gaps.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen cybersecurity, improve system compliance, and enhance operational processes.

3. Incident and Problem Management

• Manage system support issues and resolve reported defects in accordance with the stipulated Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Investigate incidents and problem reports, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead investigations and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve cross-system issues, infrastructure incidents, and issues involving Authority Furnished Equipment (AFE).
• Provide timely updates to user management and relevant stakeholders on incident status, investigation findings, and resolution progress.
• Prepare regular consolidated incident summaries covering system, infrastructure, cross-system, and AFE-related incidents.
• Conduct defect trend analysis to identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate resources and stakeholders to ensure the timely and proper closure of incidents and service requests.

4. Change Request and Release Management

• Gather and analyse end-user requirements for system enhancements, changes, and new functionalities.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage Change Requests to ensure smooth implementation and timely delivery with minimal disruption to operations.
• Coordinate implementation activities, including system setup, data collection, issue tracking, escalation, and resolution.
• Work with existing IT system integrators to ensure successful integration and delivery of solution components.
• Coordinate and oversee acceptance testing to verify that solutions meet specified requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Manage change documentation and obtain the necessary approvals and clearances before implementation.
• Keep stakeholders and user communities informed of project progress, implementation plans, and changes.
• Propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, cybersecurity posture, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in IT systems operations, maintenance, technical support, or system administration is an advantage.
• Experience in IT audit is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IM8 or equivalent ICT policies, standards, and governance requirements is advantageous.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other commercial cloud platforms is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IT security, vulnerability management, access control, incident management, and change management is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Additional Requirements – Senior Systems Engineer

• At least 3 years of working experience in Information Technology.
• Ability to independently manage system operations, incident investigations, change implementations, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to identify operational risks, recommend improvements, and ensure timely resolution of technical and compliance issues.

• Work Week: Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Work Arrangement: Full Onsite - Central West Region
• Salary: S$6,000 - 10,000 (with variable bonuses)
