Job summary

ip-tribe is seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Engineer to lead implementation, support, and optimization of mission-critical telecom and IT infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, security, and operational excellence while delivering complex projects and maintaining documentation.

Senior responsibilities include providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving engineering best practices.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Hands-on Linux administration experience and capable of system installation, configuration, hardening, patching, and troubleshooting.
Experience managing VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms.
Familiarity with SIP, RTP, VoIP technologies and SBCs.
Ability to lead projects, mentor juniors, and promote engineering standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications and IT infrastructure solutions.
Provide ongoing operations support, including on-call rotations and troubleshooting of complex systems.
Implement security hardening, governance, and compliance measures across systems.
Coach and guide junior engineers, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
