Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Network and Infrastructure to design, implement, and support our enterprise networking stack. You will manage Arista and Cisco switching, Fortinet security, and Linux-based infrastructure across hybrid environments.

The role requires 8+ years of experience with major networking tech, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to serve as a senior escalation contact across time zones. Azure/AWS and automation skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise infrastructure and network engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Arista and Cisco networking, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco wireless technologies, and Linux administration.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and network security.
• Experience supporting production environments and critical infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage Arista and Cisco switching environments, including Layer 2/3 networking, routing, and switching.
• Administer Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls.
• Support Cisco wireless infrastructure, including WLCs and access points.
• Administer Linux servers, patching, performance tuning, and core infrastructure services.
• Support hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues and participate in on-call support.
• Support infrastructure projects, deployments, and operational improvements.
