Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for the APAC region to own Bare Metal compute lifecycle, firmware, BIOS, OS deployment, and OOB management across a large-scale data center environment. You'll work with Linux systems, hardware architectures, and public cloud data planes, delivering reliable, high-performance infrastructure.

Travel up to 50% is required; seniority and ownership are highly valued.

Qualifications

Masters or bachelor’s degree in CS/Tech or equivalent.
10+ years in network and system engineering with large-scale production systems (1000+ servers).
Strong understanding of OS, networks and high-performance applications.
Proficient in at least 3 programming languages (Java, Python, C, C++, Go, Shell).
Systematic problem-solving with strong communication and ownership.
Experience delivering products through full SDLC.
Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Managing Bare Metal Compute Lifecycle States.
Inventorying Racks, Hosts, and Components within the hosts (NICs, SSDs, GPUs, etc).
Applying and Validating Firmware of the hosts.
Running Stress tests on host networking and components.
Reading and applying BIOS settings.
Installing and Managing Host Operating Systems via remote connection.
Managing & Operating Host OOB management subsystems.
Reading and parsing host telemetry.
