Job summary

Mount Alvernia Hospital is seeking a Senior / System Support Officer (IT Asset Lead) to manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets and provide end-user technical support. You will oversee procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades and EOL processes while ensuring license compliance and asset accuracy.

The role requires 3–5 years in IT asset management or IT operations, ITIL familiarity, and strong vendor coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or related field is required.
• ITIL certification preferred; procurement certifications are a plus.
• 3–5 years’ experience in IT asset management or IT operations.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software lifecycle and licensing.
• Excellent communication and a proactive mindset.
• Lead asset-related initiatives and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and end-of-life (EOL) of IT hardware and software.
• Ensure timely renewal of licenses and compliance with licensing agreements.
• Track warranties and coordinate hardware repairs or replacements.
• Monitor software usage and ensure alignment with security policies.
• Support IT relocation activities, new setups, and scheduled deployments.
• Lead or support ad‑hoc IT initiatives and evaluations.

IT Asset Management & Lifecycle

• Manage procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and end-of-life (EOL) of IT hardware and software.

• Recommend hardware/software solutions based on business needs and cost-effectiveness.

• Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date IT asset inventory.

• Develop and enforce asset management policies and procedures.

• Work with vendors and procurement teams for sourcing and asset management.

• Monitor software usage and ensure alignment with security policies.

IT Operations & Project Support

• Support IT relocation activities, new setups, and scheduled deployments.

• Provide analysis and reporting for asset tracking and performance.

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth IT operations.

How to Succeed

• Strong understanding of hardware/software lifecycle and asset inventory tools.

• Knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and software licensing models.

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

• Ability to lead asset-related initiatives and drive process improvements.
