Job description

Operations Central Team (OCT) – Manufacturing Technology Enablement, Staff/Senior Engineer Pump, Abatement and Chiller (PAC).

As the Operations Central Team (OCT) Pump, Abatement and Chiller (PAC) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be building a growth mindset, facilitating and driving improvement on Micron PAC engineering globally, driving global business processes, and enabling the leverage of world‑wide resources to deliver industry benchmark methods. You will also lead activities to achieve Best in Class (BIC) PAC performance across the network and industry, working closely with sites to identify opportunities and analyze performance‑to‑plan data.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Lead and continuously improve PAC business processes, continual improvement projects, and BKM alignment
• Facilitate and drive global peer groups to align strategy and roadmap to achieve area objectives
• Build metrics with clear line of sight to strategic objectives
• Drive alignment to demonstrate performance improvement and hold accountability to decisions
• Share best methods across all sites regardless of technology and site mission differences
• Review and lead current Micron sites PAC performance, identify gaps and opportunities to achieve BIC performance
• Lead PAC alignment and improvement to meet Micron PAC objectives
• Align procedures and define requirements based on technical assessment and lessons learned
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, Capex, cash cost, equipment performance, sustainability, new technology introduction, first‑of‑a‑kind tool enablement, and other areas
• Engage suppliers for continuous improvement to achieve BIC PAC performance
• Develop and improve Micron PAC documentation when needed, including specifications, configuration and related process qualification data

Project Management

• Prioritize and lead multiple projects based on fab and corporate objectives
• Move projects effectively through lifecycle—definition, planning, implementation, acceptance, and review
• Motivate partners and team members to take ownership of project successes
• Lead priorities and enhancements to improve business processes and existing global systems
• Define metrics to gauge project success and promote worldwide sharing of area‑specific knowledge

Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor’s (or equivalent) experience in Engineering; minimum 5 years of relevant wafer fab experience, preferably with PAC project management experience. Project management experience is required. Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel.
