Role Overview
Senior Manager – Global Facilities Central Engineering, Water & Waste at Micron Technology, Inc. The role provides engineering system ownership and technical support across semiconductor manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Asia. The position emphasizes global standardization, innovation, reliability, performance, and sustainability across Micron’s facilities network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi‑discipline engineering team focused on Water & Waste systems for semiconductor manufacturing sites.
- Provide technical leadership and support for Engineering, Design, Construction, Installation, Start‑up, Operations, and Maintenance of global facilities and plant projects.
- Own Engineering system processes and contribute to global standardization, reliability, performance, and sustainability initiatives.
- Support large‑scale Greenfield FAB design and construction projects in the U.S. and Asia, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery with high quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Project, Facilities, Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, and IT to drive continuous improvement and cost management.
- Develop and mentor engineering talent, focusing on recruitment, training, career progression, and engagement.
- Identify and monitor key performance indicators, set departmental goals, and report on performance to senior leadership.
- Provide expert technical advice and support to overcome project challenges, facilitating data‑driven decision making.
- Lead technical reviews of designs, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
- Serve as the field domain expert for Water & Waste systems, benchmarking best practices and driving innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 15‑20 years of experience in semiconductor and/or facilities engineering, with expertise in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, and I&C systems.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high‑performing engineering teams.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
- Self‑motivated and results‑driven with a strong technical background.
- Willingness to travel 50‑60% of the time to Micron’s global sites and construction locations.
